Disability Gateway – connecting people to community supports and services

Disability can create barriers to the everyday things we need to survive, like accommodation, food, health care, education, income and transport. Thankfully, there are programs and services in the community to help people with disability to access supports in all areas of life.
However, in a cluttered market, finding the right help may not be quick or easy.
That’s where the Disability Gateway comes in.
A free Australian Government service that connects people with disability, their families and support networks to trusted information, programs and services, the Disability Gateway provides resources on topics including:
- Transport
- Education and training
- Finding a job
- Getting help to complete everyday tasks at home
- Accessing legal advice and representation
The Disability Gateway website includes resources focused on 10 life areas (e.g., Income and Finance, Everyday Living, and Health and Wellbeing), providing users with trusted information and connecting them to the right services quickly and easily.
